Bristol Veterans
Memorial Banner Program

Veterans Strong Community Center (“VSCC”) in conjunction with the City of Bristol, is offering for the first year the popular Bristol Veterans Memorial Banner Program. This program proudly recognizes veteran service members who have been honorably discharged, both living and deceased. Each banner honors a specific Bristol service member whether a current or past resident of the city and features his or her name, rank, branch of service, and era of service (WWI, WWII, Vietnam, etc), and photo.

Banners will be digitally printed on 24”x 36” vinyl (most durable and stable vinyl in the industry), printed on two sides and will be displayed on city owned lampposts along Memorial Blvd.

All orders must be received by March 1, of the current year, to allow time for printing and installation by Memorial Day. Banners cost $120 and will be displayed from Memorial Day to Veterans Day at which time they will be removed and placed in storage for the winter months. Banners that have been displayed for the initial period may be redisplayed for a second year depending on space availability at a cost of $50 or may be returned to the donor at their request. New applications will take precedence over redisplayed banners. Banners that are not redisplayed or returned to the donor become the property of VSCC and may be used for promotional purposes.

There are 30 display locations available.  Applications will be taken on a first come, first served basis. If the maximum banner capacity is reached, applicants will be placed on a list for their banner to be displayed the following year. Requests for a specific display location on Memorial Boulevard will not be accepted. VSCC will determine placement of banners.

• Signed photo release acknowledgement form

• A high-resolution (200-300 dpi) photograph copy of the honored veteran in military uniform. Digital photos will also be accepted.

• A check in the amount of $120.00 (Please make check payable to “Veterans Strong Community Center” and include “Veterans Memorial Banner” in the memo line.) or online payment is available.

• Proof of Honorable Discharge/Active Service (i.e., DD214 or Honorable Discharge Certificate).
